Practice Habits You Do Not Have To Remember About The Digital Piano
Remind your child practicing piano
1. Sing the notice names are played. Students will need to state the names of then notes since they’re played so they learn to picture what keys are under their palms at beginning hand ranks C and Middle C. Without this easy knowledge, students won’t have the ability to proceed to learning to read notes on the team.
2. Keep eyes on the music, not the palms. After students have their hand posture, they need to keep their eyes on the music and not look down at their hands. This way they’re creating a computer keyboard in their imaginations. This is also essential for reading notes on the staff, which is just a map of the piano keyboard.
3. Sit back on the piano bench and reach out to the piano. Students will not be able to use their small muscles in the hands unless they are reaching out into the piano with their arms stretched and elbows slightly bent with elbows pointing out to the walls rather than the floor.
4. Round the hands over the keyboard. The fingers need to stretch to the piano keys from the top knuckle then retract back to a rounded hand position. This allows for control and finger flexibility.
Play each tune 5 to 7 times a day. It doesn’t take long to get a young student to practice their own start lessons. But every song needs to be performed about 7 times using playing strategies.
For the student whose instructor has assigned them two songs, this will take about 5 minutes a song. That’s a ten minute practice session. And that’s really beginning students need to do in order to learn their own lessons. But without these strategies they never learn what they need to understand and can sit at the piano for hours.
