Practice Habits You Do Not Have To Remember About The Virtual Piano
Remind your child practicing piano at home to:
1. Sing the note names as they are played. Pre-reading music has the titles of the notes written on the note heads. Students will need to say the names of subsequently notes since they’re played so they learn to picture what keys are under their fingers in beginning hand positions C and Middle C. Without this easy understanding, students won’t have the ability to go on to learning how to read notes about the team.
2. Keep eyes. After students have their hands position, they have to keep their eyes on the music and not look down at their hands. This way they are creating a keyboard in their own imaginations. This is essential for studying notes on the team, which is merely a map of the piano keyboard.
3. Sit back on the piano bench and reach out to the piano. Students will not be capable of using their small muscles in the fingers unless they are reaching out into the piano with their arms extended and elbows slightly bent with elbows pointing out to the walls and not the floor.
4. Round the hands across the keyboard. The fingers need to stretch to the piano keys in the top knuckle then retract back to a rounded hand position. This allows for control and finger flexibility.
Play every song 5 to 7 times a day. It doesn’t take long to get a young student to practice their start lessons. But every song has to be played with about 7 times using playing strategies.
